My same date yet different year sista wedding !! 17 - 18 Jun 06

Phew... wat a weekend for me... Not tat I was catching soccer throughout... but it was as tiring as tat.

Shida (as we liked to call her) was having her wedding ceremony on 17 Jun 06.



Different from chinese traditional wedding, I only had to be at her house by 11am on the day itself.

*Shucks, as I realised that the camera that I brought along was not charged :<*

Went to the block opp. her place to get my hair done up first, since her sister and cousin were going too.... though it looked like something tat I previously did b4, it still looked pretty on me.. ekkekek...



later on, realised that hairdos for the day were all complimentary from the bride herself. Thank you mak ! (tat's wat I called her, ever since she took care of me like her own baby sista)

By 12 plus the house was getting more and more crowded. Relatives and friends all came to give their well wishes... but too bad.. the bride was locked up in her room with her makeup artist cum dresser cum hairstylist (sama like chinese de but she got more barang barang compared wif chinese stylist). I got to go in subsequently after I changed into my baju. Yes, I had to change too coz I'm the nxt important person other den the bride coz I'm the bridesmaid...!! And never can you guess, this bridesmaid is as bz as the bride herself coz I had to change into 5 suits within the nxt 2 days.

Smart as I was, I managed with 2 suits on Sat and another 2 on Sun. heehee Got away with another 1 which was supposed to be for Sat, where the bride did changed into 3 different gowns.

You gonna wait awhile to see the photos as the pros needs time to develop and send it back to the newly-wed. Sad me nv take solo shoots lor... coz blur me nv charge camera batt...

2nd day (18 Jun 06) to groom's side, I haf managed to only capture a pix of myself after my dearest came all the way frm serangoon to simei to fetch me hm :>



can you imagine how packed and crowded was the groom's celebration, with 2000 guests expected... I only know the poor couple had to take photos after photos after photos and smiled all the way through that they had to haf late lunch (tis actually dued to the preparations by their 'own committee') People were coming frm everywhere, heard even overseas like penang and india.... phew...

luckily it was from 11am to 5 - 6pm and from the bride's side, we only reached the function hall slightly after 1pm.

I saw VVIP season 2....

This time round... saw the emperor and emperess of Japan..!!

Konichiwa !!!! Remember how staff welcome you when u enter into a Japanese restaurant? Really felt like saying Rasei Masei (Welcome) when they enter... not !!

The whole environment was so intense even 1/2 hour before the VVIP arrive at Lvl 11. Compared to the previous arrival of Queen Elizabeth... this was very strict and secured... SPF ppl were standing guard almost everywhere.

Even their camera crew was so COOL.... Cameramen, ladies, reporters, etc they were all in black suits and jackets !! Standing beside our local photographer... -_-" t-shirts, jeans, out-of-bed look...

ok lah... our photographers not so bad lah (at least for today) they were in shirts and ties... except for a lady who was in jeans...

we weren't really allowed to take photos of the royal family... thus... my Samsung phone din come into good use also.. it has that irritating click when u take a pic. Nevertheless, got our in-house photographer to take a photo of me and a colleague sitting on the VERY chairs that the emperor and emperess sat when they were signing our autograph bk... (yah NOT my book lah)

Yes. I dared him to eat just one little piece (not really very small also - to him, ekek) Yup, and I swore he won't be having this 'treat' on our BIG day... hahahahahaha...

Pulau Perhentian 12 - 16 April 2006

I was back in reality... on 16 April 2006 at 9.05 pm.
Malaysia & Singapore customs was a smooth ride... no jam no spot checks... juz the regular questions n checking of the boot.

Whole body aching still... frm the 'slamming' session I had on 14 April (Thursday). Skin all burnt (chao ta)...

Will blog later n post the pics taken... me nw nd to work work work... prepare for counter duty at 1pm.

ask me why & e only thing i can tell u is - i'm going through the period when I 1st joined the company... rot, rotting, rotten...

jus in the beginning of the yr... i was packed wif stuff n loads of projects to do.. and nw we are starting a new FY {financial year} thus, management is trying to re-organise and place ppl in new / existing groups and assigning jobs / responsibility...

while catching up with the kid from Deyi n classmate from WSS n colleague from ex-Workplace... maybe go find another few photos to upload...

hahaha... me getting more n more zi lian le... !!! this sat gonna go swim n train up my abs for the perhentian trip... (as if it will work in 1 day) den nxt tues gonna make use of the gym tat's set up for staff at my office....

the 3 gentlemen kindly offered their services to drive up to trengganu :> coz it was pretty hard to find coaches and I got a lobang for car rental to malaysia at an affordable price (cheaper than taking coach to Merang !!)

guess I'll be the navigator den... hopfully i can manage... with my 'no sense of direction'

A New Year... 3 months into 2006

it's been 4mths since I last blog... was getting 'comfortable' and finding my own 'space' at the new environment...

anyway... New Year started slowly with me having to work on the 2nd day of 2006 !!! shucks...

CNY - this year spent it in our sunny little island... 1st CNY in Singapore after more than 5 years of 'running away' to other countries??? ekek...
1. mom n dad not working, thus got other opportunities to go tour at least peak time.
2. Koibitoh no car to return to Malaysia..

Valentine's Day - dearie got me a beautiful necklace from SK... (btw, any one can tell me the diff. btwn SK n Soo Kee???) and me got him a organiser which he can't bear to use... :(

Last 2 weeks of Feb - wonderful experience !! will blog another day solely for this... muz work out how to use D500 to send photos to email... *pending* smething not to be missed...

Comes Mar... trying to complete my review and report to see what I have done so far in my new company...

April... got plan to go perhentian, malaysia... any takers to join in? and KL to attend koibitoh's cousin's wedding...

DUN Haf.... kept thinkin cant b i left in my uniform coz i took out everything le ah.... went to e loo.... thinkin aiyah try try c uniform haf anything...

in d end.....left my thumbdrive in my uniform's pocket 0-_-"

5-10-2005 : Commonwealth Games 2006 - Queen Baton relay (QBR) came to National Library... The participants climbed up the stairs (all 16 floors) and reach the POD where we (supporters) saw the baton made of 24k gold !!!!!! There was also Susilo's wife, the table tennis player who attended the event....
